The Araby Trail
1.6 Mile Hike
The Araby trail leads you to the house of legendary entertainer Bob Hope. It’s an uphill climb with great views of the entire Coachella Valley. Big boulders create interesting peaks all over this trail also providing much needed shade around hot spring days. Desert plants can be found all around the trail and the occasional playful desert rabbits and other small animals. Almost every trail in the area have snakes of all kinds - If you’re a fan of Rattle Snakes, you just might find one! The best thing about this hike is the amazing view of the valley — not too high up but high enough to appreciate the beautiful desert floor.

The Museum Trail
1.5 Miles
Located behind the Palm Springs Art Museum
The Museum Trail is a perfect compliment to a visit to the Desert Museum. Just right above the city is a viewpoint where you can enjoy the majestic beauty of Palm Springs. It’s a hard uphill hike but totally enjoyable with picnic tables atop for your relaxation. This trail intersects with several other trails, the Chino Canyon trail,or the Trail at Ramon Road, or the Skyline Ridge Route which will continue all the way up the San Jacinto Mountains to the Tram Way! The Skyline Ridge Route is a beautiful hike but it will take 5 or more hours depending on your experience so we don’t suggest this for beginners. Don’t forget to bring your camera!
