Desert Home Feature
Twin Palms Estate

bedroom twin palms estateThe Twin Palms Estate was designed in 1947 by Stewart Williams for the great Frank Sinatra and his first wife, Nancy Barbato. This spectacular mid-century contemporary home is nestled in the heart of Palm Springs’ Movie Colony Community.

This fabulous desert home has 4500 square feet of luxurious space in the comfort and stylings of mid-century architecture. The estate has four bedrooms with private baths, an impeccably decorated living room, a well equipped kitchen, dining room, and a pool house to enjoy beautiful Palm Springs weather outdoors and swim in the famous piano shaped pool built for Mr. Sinatra himself.

Possibly one of the most interesting facts about this property is the history of its most famous owner. If walls could talk - the stories they would tell about this historic house would be just as intriguing and fascinating as the architectural design by Mr. Williams. Knowing that Frank Sinatra himself once den at the twin palmswalked down the halls and hosted a number of Hollywood’s stars, like Bob Hope, Joan Crawford, Phil Silvers, Mary Livingston, George Burns, Gracie Allen, and even the reclusive Greta Garbo at this Desert Estate makes it historically significant.

The home was also witness to one of Frank Sinatra’s most memorable bouts’ - One of the most outrageous was when Frank threw Ava Gardner’s possessions onto the driveway (his then wife) after she appeared at the house hoping to catch Frank with Lana Turner!
